How to Apply for Voter ID Card Online

The Government of India has started a National Voter service portal. Through this portal, you can apply for voter ID cards. The Government of India has started Digital Abhiyan. Under this Abhiyan, the government is making available all the types of government services through digital mode. Keeping this in mind the Government has started the Voter Id Card enrollment portal.

In order to vote in elections, a citizen needs a voter ID card. All the citizens of India who have attained 18 years of age can apply for Voter ID card. For this purpose, the central government has started a portal. Through this portal, all eligible citizens can apply for Voter ID card. All the people who have still not registered for voter ID can apply for voter ID through the Election Commission of India’s official website.

Follow the Steps to Apply for Voter Id Card Online

Step 1: Visit the official election website –

Step 2: Click on Login/Register

Step 3 : Register as a new User and complete the registration process –

Step 4 : Then you have to Login with your username and password

Step 5 : Then Click on fresh Inclusion and enrollment

Step 6 : Then choose your citizenship status and state

Step 7 : Click on next

Step 8 : Enter all the required details in this application form, like your personal details, address details, date of birth, additional information details, declarations etc.

Step 9 : Click on submit

Step 10: You will receive an application number on your mobile number and registered email ID. You can use your application number to check you Voter ID and you can “Download” a copy of your newly generated Voter Id card.
